Etching Tweets
Objective: Hershey's tasked us with the concepting and development of an Olympic campaign driven to connect consumers at home with our sponsored Olympic hopefuls.
My role: My solution was a socially-enabled vending machine that collected and shared fans' messages of support to the Hershey's-sponsored athletes. Originally pitched by the brand team as a machine that printed tweets on slips of paper, I proposed carving the tweets directly on the chocolate instead, and making the process visible. The machine would pull from an admin-controlled database of hashtagged tweets and etch the messages into the chocolate, delivering patriotic enthusiasm in a deliciously innovative way.
